Raffles
Raffles are defined by Indiana Code 4-32.3-2-33 as, “the selling of tickets or chances to win a prize awarded through a random drawing, including a door prize.” Pursuant to Indiana Code 4-32.3-4-3(a), the value of all prizes awarded at the allowable activity shall not exceed two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500) for a single activity and not more than seven thousand five hundred dollars ($7,500) during a calendar year. Groups should notify the administration by January 15th of each year, if they plan on hosting a raffle. If one group is requesting to host a raffle in any calendar year, starting January 1 and ending on December 31, the administration of DUCSC, shall provide written notice to the Indiana Gaming Commission in accordance to Indiana Code 4-32.3-4-3(b). Groups wishing to host a raffle must complete State Form CG-EN, Exempt Activity Notification (Indiana State Form 51413), all forms must be submitted to the administration of DUCSC for final approval. State Form CG-EN, must be turned in thirty (30) days prior to the activity.
