Mr. Eric Brewer

Hello Dugger Bulldogs!

At the end of the 2025-2026 school year, I will have served forty years in education, thirty five years being in school administration.   I believe in preparation in mind, work ethic, values and commitment as the greatest virtues for success.  If we model honesty, dedication, humor and vision, one is not limited to what they can do.  Don’t force doors open, just be ready when they do.

My teaching experiences were very successful and I eventually was blessed by 32 years of school administrative service in my home of Montgomery County, Indiana.  I served in every level of administration with great pride including Assistant Superintendent of Schools at South Montgomery Schools and Principal of Walnut Elementary School.  During my tenure, our staff and students celebrated state and national distinction, multiple programming initiatives, academic gains and enrollment resurgence. We quickly became a school of choice on the prairie.

Being a child of parents who graduated from the likes of Ladoga High School and Waveland High School only draws me closer to the Dugger Difference and what we can do for our future.  It is the small town atmosphere and values that make the true difference.

I am thrilled to combine the energy of Stephanie Kinnett and all staff members into the next generation of Dugger Union Schools.

You can be anywhere, but when you know you are making a difference, there is no other place to be. Make the difference, be the difference.

Eric W. Brewer

Dugger Union Community Schools

Mrs. Stephanie Kinnett

It is an honor to serve as the principal of Dugger Elementary School and to join the school board, administrators and staff members in making Dugger Union Community Schools an extraordinary school community. The 2025-2026 school year will mark my 22nd year in education and my ninth year as principal. I have spent 21 years of my educational career at Dugger Union where I have served as a 3rd/4th/6th/7th and 9th grade teacher and elementary principal.  The elementary principal position provides me the chance to work collaboratively with the teachers and staff on a daily basis, while also remaining connected to our students’ growth in the classroom.  I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Indiana State University, my High Ability Licensure from Indiana State University, my Masters in Educational Leadership from Indiana Wesleyan, and my Principal Licensure from Indiana Wesleyan.

I have lived in this community my whole life, and I am an alumni of Union High School. My husband, Scott, and I have two grown children, Seth Kinnett and Kylee Knoepfle, who are also alumni of Union High School.  I currently have six grandchildren who attend DUCS.  This lifelong connection with the community and school develops a personal determination to create the best possible environment for the success of Dugger Union Community Schools and to provide stable and committed leadership

I firmly believe every child can excel and the partnership between home and school plays a huge role in allowing students to shape their future and the future of our community. I am committed to always exploring new ways to meet the needs of all students and to effectively communicate with parents and community members. Dugger Union Community Schools fosters this belief and has a strong commitment to academic achievement.

I am beyond excited to begin this year’s journey with all of you and the opportunity to lead alongside Mr. Eric Brewer, High School Principal.

I will be working with him to ensure all of the students at DUCS receive a quality educational experience.
